It's all in the name - "Royalty Steamers".

The cleaning method used by Royalty Steamers is the same one recommended by all of the major carpet manufacturers........"Steam Cleaning." Technically, it is referred to as Hot Water
Extraction but most consumers know it as Steam Cleaning.

9 Step Carpet Cleaning Video (Click Here)

We chose this method for the following reasons:

1) It removes the most Soil and leaves Carpets the Cleanest

2) When done properly with Truck Mounted equipment, it removes more residue and cleaning agents than any other method! Residue, cleaning agents, and soil left behind can lead to faster re-soiling of your carpets.

3) It's the Healthiest Method. The steam can kill many of those unwanted germs and critters living in your carpet.

- Inspect the carpet or tile surface for problems
- Vacuum all carpet to be cleaned
- Prespray all spots and traffic lanes
- Aggitate the carpet, especially in the heavily soiled areas
- Rinse the carpet and Extract the soil using Truck Mounted Equipment
- Apply Carpet Protection and brush it in - Optional
- Groom the carpet

1) Inspect the carpet or tile that is to be cleaned in order to evaluate its overall condition, level of soiling, preexisting problems, and any potential issues that may arise from the cleaning process. During this essential step we provide the customer with our Professional Opinion with respect to their specific cleaning situation. One thing you will not get from Royalty Steamers is a promise or guarantee that "WE WILL REMOVE ANY STAIN". If another company makes this claim, BEWARE. Some stains just simply do not come out due to color loss, or the source of the soil and the type of carpet fiber. A company that makes a claim of removing any stain is the same type that say they will come out and clean your whole house for some ridiculously low price. Not until they get to your house do they mention all of the hidden fees and add-on services they want to charge you for (many of which come standard with Royalty Steamers). All of a sudden their low price is not so low. This is Not the way Royalty Steamers does business. We treat our customers with HONESTY and RESPECT!

2) Thoroughly Vacuum all of the areas to be cleaned with a HEPA, Dual Motor, Commerical quality vacuum cleaner. Yes, that's right we will actually vacuum for you. We feel that this is such a vital part of the cleaning process we never assume it has been done. Up to 74% of the soil in carpet is dry particulate matter that needs to be removed with a vacuum cleaner. Skipping this steps can turn much of that dry dirt into mud when it comes into contact with water, thus becoming much more difficult to extract. This is a step that many cleaners will try to skip simply to save them time and money. Not us!

3) Prespray all carpet to be cleaned with a high-quality cleaning solution that aids in the process of breaking down the soil and suspending it in water so that it can be extracted from the carpet.

4) Agitate the carpet (Scrub) fibers where necessary to loosen and break up the soil. This is another step that is skipped by many cleaners. Extra agitation is usually needed in high traffic areas or where a Heavy Soiling Condition exists. Royalty Steamers has multiple tools tools to choose from but prefers a powerful rotary carpet scrubber/extractor called an RX-20. Using an RX-20 equates to making many hundred passes per minute with a carpet wand and provides much better agitation. Although used by many cleaners to agitate the carpet, a carpet cleaning wand is really only designed to Rinse and Extract water from the carpet fibers. It does not nearly provide the level of agitation that the RX-20 does. The more aggitation you have the more soil that can get loosened up and extracted from the carpet. The RX-20 combines step 4 and 5 together since it has a rotating head with 3 high pressure rinse jets and 5 vacuum ports to extract wtih.

5) Hot Water Extraction, Flush and Rinse the carpet. Notice this is step 5 in our process, yet many cleaners think this is actually step 1. This step is intended to rinse and extract prespray solution and suspended soil from the carpet fibers, leaving them residue free. The step can be best performed with truck mounted Hot Water Extraction equipment. There are 3 benefits to using truck mounted equipment. 1) It can produce the high level of heat needed to break up soil. 2) Provides greater vacuum which can drastically reduce the drying time of the carpet. 3) Provides higher water pressure than most portable equipment which aides in breaking the soil free from the carpet fibers allowing it to be extracted. This step is usually performed with a carpet cleaning wand.

6) Apply Carpet Protection - This is an Optional but Highly Recommended Service. We always recommend adding the carpet protection because it provides Real Lasting Protection to your carpet. We use a product that is similar to ScotchGuard. It works by creating a stain barrier around the carpet fiber which reduces the likelihood of permanent stains occurring. Again this does not prevent stains from occurring, but it does promote the beading up of liquids on the carpet surface and reduces the chances of the soil adhering to the carpet fiber If it is cleaned up in a reasonable period of time.

** BONUS ** With our Carpet Proection Service we always Provide our customers with a Free bottle of Spotting agent and spotting towels to blot the spots with in case of a spill. This gives our customer a piece of mind that even if a spill occurs after we are gone, they are equipped with the right tools to take care of the spot without the added time or expense of having us come back out. This is a great spotting agent that will remove most common spots and help prevent permanent stains (again - If treated right away).

7) Groom the carpet - where needed. This is where we use a grooming rake to basically "comb" the carpet in the same direction to give it a visually pleasing affect. This is not a permanent effect - similar to combing your hair in the morning, if the wind blows or something touches it the hair moves.
